Latin America are our neighbors. For the USA to ignore countries in our own backyard is foolhardy. Yet that is what we are doing. As the USA ignores Latin America, the vacuum is being filled by China.
We also are seeing a strong push toward totalitarian governments and Marxism. Poverty has been growing and economic immigrants are flowding our country.
As China's influence in our region grows, there is a visible retraction of the interest of the United States and I am referring to the political, economic, and strategic interest concerning Latin America.
Perhaps the best way to characterize Latin America's growing relationship with the People's Republic of China (PRC) is to call it “the silent advance”, in other words, there are no Chinese troops landing in the region, there are no multitudes of Chinese citizens arriving. these lands, I would say that it is a constant advance but little visible to the untrained eye.
What is the focus and how does this advance work?

We have an unusual Peruvian with a hat who serves as president of Peru, one who after almost five months in power is evident that he did not swear by the Constitution. His idol is a presumptuous man who has led to the ruin of Bolivia, which under declarations of socialism, stimulates the most capitalist business in the world: drug trafficking.

Juan Evo Morales Ayma, the former president of Bolivia, a leftist who combats the influence of the United States and multinational corporations. Ideologically a socialist, he has led the Movement for Socialism (MAS) party since 1998. Morales is presenting a project, "Decalogue of Runasur", founding a "Plurinational America".
They wish to consolidate their anti-imperialist struggle of the peoples, social movements and organisations, against capitalism.
Immigration from Latin America into the USA has become a major area of concern. It will effect our economy, our politics and our ability to control the flow of human and drug trafficking.
